International Graduate Students and Early Career Scholars Support Network
TAARN has led the way in organizing support systems for international graduate students and early career scholars in the face of xenophobic visa policies and academic overcompliance. Our initiatives started with informal virtual meetings and proceeded to develop a best practices document to give departments and academic organizations a blueprint for supporting international academics. We are also working on a special issue in Communication and Critical/Cultural Studies journal that will address the issues facing precariously positioned international students and scholars.
